Perspektiven einer modernen Berufsforschung

Abstract

"The article analyzes the different perspectives of a labor market oriented occupational research under changing economic and social conditions caused by technological progress and the formation of the international division of labor. Against the background of substitutability and offshorability of occupational activities (or tasks) the question arises, how adjustable the system of vocational education is. Hence occupational mobility - which leads to a mismatch between the recognized skilled occupation and the current activity - moves back into the center of attention. An adequate classification of occupations is of vital importance for modern occupational research. Therefore we introduce the concept of the new national 'Classification of Occupations 2010' and analyze the possibilities and constraints of occupational forecasts."
