Quality of the link between the data of the BIBB Cost-Benefit Survey 2007 and IAB administrative data

Abstract

"A link between administrative data - for instance, of the employment and other administrative statistics of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) - with the survey data of the BIBB Cost-Benefit Survey for in-house training (CBS) on a Linked Employer-Employee data set makes it possible to trace the career patterns of trainees and those who have completed their training and to combine them with information about the establishment where they have received their training - especially the net cost of in-house training. Hence such a data link allows a representative empirical study of the said issues to be carried out for the first time and from various different perspectives. In this paper, the two sources of data are briefly introduced and this is followed by analyses of the quality of the link." (Text excerpt, IAB-Doku)
