IT vocations and IT competences in Industry 4.0

Abstract

"The digitalisation of the economy will continue. The BIBB-IAB scenario shows that IT know-how and skills, in particular IT-professions, will be increasingly in demand in the future. This study is intended to help position this core skill better vis-à-vis the digital economy and the employment situation. The study also addresses the question of whether the quantitative requirement for IT skills can be covered in the labour market, specifically when it is assumed that digitalisation will increase."
