Abstract

"In this paper the general situation and more recent history of Vietnam's economy is first analysed. In the second part a closer look is taken at the Vietnamese labour market. It is shown that the living standard even for workers in a comparatively favourable situation is still very low. There are great differences in the labour market conditions of various segments and areas of the economy. The special risks evolving in the development of the labour market are highlighted."
