Normal working relations in a state of flux
Abstract
"'Normal' employment is now being confronted with an ever greater variety of different kinds of employment. This is because part-time work, fixed-term work, temporary agency work, outsourcing or service contracts are becoming more and more 'normal' because companies are more dependent upon flexible forms in order to withstand global competition. The often feared 'hiring and firing' is however not on the agenda. Quite the opposite: One also has to ask what the risks of labour market regulations are." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
