Future markets for skilled workers in Germany : from model calculations to scenarios

Abstract

"The article deals with four topics and issues which build upon one another: (1) Life with differing futures. (2) Requirements are changing: What kind of labour will be in demand in the future? (3) It depends on the people: Assessing future educational and employment decisions, and (4) When will the shortage of skilled labour arise - or will it not be that bad?
