Labor relations and fairness perceptions: How do employees think about bonus payments to managers?
Abstract
"The paper utilizes data from a telephone survey of workers to analyze perceptions and consequences of bonus payments to managers. First, it analyzes the determinants of general fairness judgments about manager bonuses. Second, it investigates the circumstances under which bonus payments for the executive management team of a firm are accepted as fair. Third, it asks for firm-internal consequences of bonus payments for managers, for instance on the motivation of the workforce." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
