A plea for free movement of labour

Abstract

"Who does free movement of labour help and who does it harm? The background to this is a fear that the free movement of labour could prove detrimental to the population in the target countries. For this reason, the economic consequences of the free movement of labour are discussed in this article from various different perspectives. And here, above all, two channels are taken into account through which the free movement of labour can influence welfare in the European Union: the labour market, and the social state."
