The planned reform of pensions: justice before sustainability

Abstract

The author comments on the current draft law of the Great Coalition on the reform of pension insurance ("Pension at 63"). "According to Enzo Weber of IAB, Nuremberg, and the University of Regensburg, not all parts of the pension package fit into an effective overall strategy. In the sum of the financial burdens, the chances of a strengthening of incentives towards employment will be lost by the lowering of the contribution." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
