New advances in the analysis of regional labour markets

Abstract

In their introduction to this thematic publication, the authors give an overview of the papers that deal with the analysis of regional labour markets. These originated at the 4th International Summer Conference on Regional Studies (4. Internationale Sommerkonferenz zur Regionalwissenschaft) in Dresden in 2011. The six individual papers are dedicated to the following topics of regional labour market analysis: the way in which unemployment has developed; the way wages have developed; looking for a job; and employment migration.
