In figures : current challenges on the German labour market
Abstract
"Within a very short period of time, democratic change has moved into the focus of public debate. Above all with a view to the future development of the labour market, evidence of shortages and the desperate search for qualified labour are often mentioned: this is what there is really a shortage of on the German labour market; it would appear that the demand from the employers' side will very soon not be able to be met nationwide. But what do things really look like on the labour market? Is the national situation really as bad as is sketched in many places? The extent to which these horror scenarios have already come about today is described by Dr Alexander Kubis from the Institute for Employment Research." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
