Employment and wages in the German health and care facilities - 2004 to 2008

Abstract

"This paper analyses the structure of employment and wages in the German health care sector as well as its development between 2004 and 2008. We distinguish between several types of establishments and the following occupations: doctors, registered or licensed nurses, wardens and social pedagogues (occupations requiring 'high' qualifications) as well as nursing assistants, social workers, social carers and household professions (occupations of 'mixed' qualification)."
