Current account sustainability in Moldova

Abstract

"The sustainability of the external position of a country is of prime concern to policy makers around the globe. In this respect, the current account balance is a major factor when assessing external sustainability, as the associated built-up of external liabilities may threaten the macroeconomic stability of the country.
