In-house use of integration subsidies : findings from the IAB Establishment panel for Germany and for Lower Saxony

Abstract

"This contribution presents updated findings and examines the following questions: Is there a connection between claiming integration subsidies and certain structural characteristics of employers (such as size of establishment, branch, employee structure)? Does the fluctuation in personnel at establishments that use integration subsidies differ from similar establishments that do not do so? Do establishments that take advantage of integration subsidies likewise use other instruments of active labour market policy in an overproportional manner (such as brief employment opportunities)?"
