Abstract

"From October 2004 to September 2007 the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) supported the implementation of in-house entry qualifications within the framework of the National Pact for Training and Young Skilled Workers in Germany with the help of the Special Federal Programme for the Entry Qualification of Young People. In 2007, in-house entry qualifications were taken over into the regular set of instruments in a modified form. The GIB - Gesellschaft für Innovationsforschung und Beratung mbH - and IAB - the Institute for Employment Research - were tasked with the further steps in the accompanying research on entry qualifications. The current final report presents the findings from three years of such accompanying research and makes recommendations for action." (Text excerpt, IAB-Doku)
