Recognition for migrants? : What does the Recognition Act deliver, and what can it deliver?

Abstract

"The Federal Recognition Act came into force on 1 April 2012. The intention was that up to 300,000 migrants already living in the country were to profit from it. Germany must send clear signals to qualified persons with a migration background of what their qualification are worth. While the law offers opportunities, it is also faced by several challenges."
