Local alliances for families: Something is moving

Abstract

"Less and less people now live in countrified areas and small towns. This means that regions will have to compete in the future for qualified personnel. Family-friendly working and living conditions will become an important plus point of a particular location if labour supply - especially that of women - is to be taken full advantage of. Many regions recognise this and pool their strengths, as the interests of a great many actors hang together: opportunities can be explored better within a network. That is how the region of Coburg went about it." (Authors' abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
