Homeoffice aus betrieblicher Perspektive: gekommen um zu bleiben
Abstract
"This report addresses the development of employers’ provision of working from home since 2014, thus contributing to the debate on the future of working from home in Germany. Using the Linked Personnel Panel 2014 to 2023 for the analyses, we show that the slow increase in the provision of working from home until 2020 experienced a surge after the start of the pandemic, which was accompanied by a significant formalization of regulations at establishment level. Most of the barriers and reservations against the introduction of working from home became almost insignificant in the course of the pandemic. Nevertheless, 25 percent of private sector companies with at least 50 employees still do not offer the option of working from home, in the vast majority of cases because of a lack of suitability of the tasks performed in the firm."
