Das Ausbildungsverhalten deutscher Betriebe 2006

Abstract

"This report analyzes training patterns among German firms on the basis of the Establishment Panel, a representative annual survey conducted by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB). Covering some 16,000 participating firms, the Establishment Panel is the most comprehensive company survey in Germany. Questions regarding in-company vocational training are an integral part of the survey. The findings from the 2006 employer survey provide answers to the following questions: How many firms are authorized to provide in-house vocational training? How many firms provided in-house vocational training in 2006? How many firms provided in-house vocational training 'with interludes'? What percentage of the total number of employees do trainees represent? Why do firms that are authorized to provide in-house vocational training not do so? How many firms offered in-house training places in 2006? How many of these training places were they able to fill? How many trainees were hired upon completion of their in-house vocational training by the firm that trained them?" (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
