Determinants for innovations: The influence of working and employment conditions

Abstract

"Good working and employment conditions are indicators for sustainable personnel policy. The related impact on operational innovation patterns is investigated. The econometric analysis for Germany is based on representative data surveyed 2001 to 2008 by the IAB Establishment Panel. The achieved estimations suggest that appropriate working and employment conditions increase the probability for innovations of production and processes. From the entrepreneurial point of view, those investments are efficient. Consequently, a sufficient confidence between social partners must be cultivated." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
