Current figures on the limitation in the duration of working contracts in Germany : Guest contribution
Abstract
"Between 1996 and 2010 the share of temporary working contracts in comparison to those covered by social security rose from five to about nine per cent according to the IAB Establishment Panel. Well over two million workers are active today on the basis of a temporary contract. What is particularly striking is the significance of temporary contracts for new recruitments: between 2001 and 2010, temporary new recruitments rose from 32 to 46 per cent."
