Comparison of regional labour markets - the econometric model
Abstract
"This paper describes the econometric model employed to analyze the determinants of regional employment growth. Employment growth is decomposed using a regression-based shift-share analysis which allows us to consider several components (industry, qualifications, firm size, and wages) simultaneously. Furthermore, the computation of summary effects is explained at the regional level. The understanding of these effects is essential for the interpretations of the model."
