The determinants of employment growth in the VALA-model

Abstract

"The project 'Comparative Analysis of Regional Labour Markets' investigates the influence of the following determinants on regional employment growth in Germany: wages, industrial structure, firm size, human capital and local conditions. In this paper, several theoretical approaches of economic and location theory which explain the relationship between one of the above mentioned determinants and regional employment growth will be discussed."
