Abstract

"The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has commissioned the QuBe cooperation project to analyse the effects of internal migration on the regional labour markets in Germany. For this reason, the present report compares a scenario based on a population projection without internal migration with the QuBe baseline projection. The scenario “without internal migration” is not intended to reflect a realistic picture, but illustrates an extreme scenario to emphasize the importance of internal migration for the regions."
