Vernachlässigte Potenziale? Zur Situation von Jugendlichen ohne Bildungs- und Ausbildungsabschluss

Abstract

"Compared to international Standards, Germany has quite many young people without formal training certificates and low competencies as measured by the PISA study. What do these young people do? To what extent are they excluded from participation in the labour market, what chances do they have to enter continuous training and to what extent does further training help to find work? What differences exist along ethnicity and sex? And how likely will the Situation change in the years to come? After presenting descriptive results on these topics we proceed to unfold a typology that systematically captures the mismatch of persons and positions in the labour market. We dose with some specific remarks on what needs to be done to better the Situation of this population." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
