Abstract

"The parliamentary group of the FDP in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia has commissioned the state government to launch a state-wide advertising campaign for vocational training occupations. At the request of the SPD parliamentary group, the IAB has prepared a statement for a hearing in the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament on 27.9.2023. The statement outlines current developments in the market for apprenticeship training and summarizes selected research findings on the criteria that are relevant for career choice and the information channels used for career guidance.
