Who is most open to lifelong learning? Exploring the role of personality traits and skills
Abstract
"Due to structural changes in the labour market, the importance of lifelong learning has become increasingly apparent. However, employees in different skill groups participate in continued training to varying degrees. In addition, personality traits seem to be one of the factors determining workers’ participation in further training. Nevertheless, their effects are less pronounced amongst low-skilled workers compared to high-skilled ones." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
