Abstract

"For the public hearing in the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs of the German Bundestag on 22.5.23, the IAB provided the following statement on the Federal Government’s draft act to strengthen the promotion of initial and continuing training and on the associated motion of the parliamentary group DIE LINKE. The statement on the draft act relates to the following aspects: Reform of further training support for employees in accordance with § 82 of the Third Book of the Social Code (SGB III), introduction of a qualification allowance, prolongation of the reimbursement of social security contributions in the case of further training during short-time work, vocational orientation internship, mobility allowance, introductory qualification, and vocational training in firm-external institutions."
