Reforming Germanys Basic Income Support – Results of an Online Survey of Job Centres
Abstract
"The latest reform of Germanys means-tested basic income support does not only stand for a conceptual change, but claims to be a “fundamental further development” of the security system for the unemployed. The aim is to strengthen sustainable labour market integration and promote the qualification of jobseekers, but above all to fundamentally readjust the relationship between the welfare state and its citizens in need of support. The practical implementation is the task of the job centres. In advance, we analyzed their perspective on the reform via an online survey." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku, © Springer-Verlag) ((en))
