Expectations for the development of the German labor market. IAB Statement on the hearing at the German Council of Economic Experts on 13 October 2022

Abstract

"To prepare the 2022/2023 annual report of the German Council of Economic Experts, the IAB was asked to provide its expertise on the situation of the German labor market, in particular on the development of employment, immigration (including refugee migration from Ukraine), wages and inflation, as well as on the effects of a possible natural gas shortage in the winter half-year 2022/2023.
