Branchen und Berufe für den Übergang in eine Green Economy
Abstract
"Is it possible to identify sectors and occupations, which already make a contribution to a green economy? Which sectors are involved and what is the structure of occupations, qualifications and activities in these sectors? Which occupations stand out and how are they characterised in terms of labour market-relevant features (including age structure of employees, gender ratio, working hours)? The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) and the Institute of Economic Structures Research (GWS) examine these questions in this report. It includes some of the findings from the Project “Green Careers - Analysis of "green" qualifications and occupations” funded by the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The present inventory is an update and extension of the publication "Qualifications, occupations and sectors for the transition to a green economy - an inventory" (see Bauer et al. 2017), which waspublished as part of the predecessor Project "Qualification structure and qualification requirements in environmental protection"."
