Active Labour Market Policy for Unemployed Refugees Receiving Unemployment Benefit II: The Majority of Policies Increase Participants‘ Labour Market Success

Abstract

"According to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge), around 1.9 million asylum applications were submitted in Germany between 2015 and 2020. This study analyzes whether active labour market policies helped to integrate refugees into the German labor market. Results show: Policies are about as effective for refugees as they are for other unemployed unemployment benefit II recipients." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
