Abstract

We construct a structural macroeconometric model in order to identify shocks on labour market development. Special emphasis is put on analysing the role of different driving forces behind the German labour market upswing. We distinguish multiple institutional factors in addition to labour force and productivity shocks. Furthermore, effects of labour market reforms are investigated.
