Abstract

The study WELLCOME explores the social context and health of young Syrian migrants on their arrival into Germany and the process of integration into German society. The study addresses their motivation for leaving Syria and how they moved to Germany, including their trauma during the civil war and whilst moving from Syria to Germany. Furthermore the project will be focused on the process of integration into the German labour market and the educational system respectively. The study is linked to the IAB project 1671 (Youth unemployment, mental health, and labor market outcomes).
