Firms, task usage, and polarization
Project duration: 01.06.2015 to 30.06.2024
Abstract
In this project, we investigate the role of firms in the decline of routine jobs (typically found in the middle of the wage distribution) and in the increase of abstract jobs (typically found at the top of the wage distribution). We address the following questions: Did changes in the task structure predominantly occur within or between firms? Which firms increase their abstract share the most? Do firms with a higher abstract share grow faster?
