Abstract

The labour market in the care of elderly is characterised by an increasing scarcity. In order to secure the sufficient labour supply in this industry, it is necessary to raise the attractiveness of the care-occupations. Wages are a relevant aspect in this context.

Purpose of this short study is to describe the payment structure of nurses and elderly care nurses. Thereby differences by occupation, sex, working time and region will be analysed.
