Abstract

In the past, cross-border commuting between the Netherlands and Germany has gained in-creasing importance.  In future, labor supply will shrink in the Netherlands due to demographic change. For this reason, it is highly significant for Dutch companies to get access to additional labor potential that is situated in the neighboring German border regions. Against this background, the objective of a regional study consists of identifying these addi-tional labor force potentials for the various sectors and industries of the Dutch economy.
