Project

Activation strategies for women with a partner

Project duration: 31.12.2011 to 30.12.2014

Abstract

Women with a partner receiving unemployment benefit II are much more seldom assigned to active labor market programs than single women. We analyze to what extent the former division of paid work influences participations in active labor market programs. For instance, we are interested if women from households with a traditional division of labor are assigned less frequently than others to activation measures. We investigate women’s entries into different labor market programs: workfare, classroom and in-firm training, further vocational training, and job subsidies.
