Abstract

The project deals with the way labour market services are provided by labour offices (unemployment insurance) and job centres (tax financed system for job seekers not eligible for insurance based unemployment benefit). It analyzes the interactions that take place between job seekers and counsellors. The general aim is to evaluate the concrete effects of the German labour market reforms on the service processes. Do they fulfil the promise of the reforms to provide Modern Labour Market Services ?
