Abstract

There is broad consensus that short-time work in recessions such as the corona crisis makes an important contribution to securing jobs. Little research has been done, however, on the design of the short-time work rules. The project therefore aims to examine the effects on the labour market of rules such as entry requirements, the wage replacement rate and the maximum duration. For this purpose, a database of international short-time work rules over time is built up.
