Abstract

In the Covid crisis, an economic downturn goes hand in hand with a transformative recession that changes industries, technologies and requirements on the labour market. In order to cope with such a process, the further development of qualifications and competencies is key. The project examines the determinants for firms’ further training investments in the crisis. The focus is on financial constraints, economic uncertainty and technological transformation. The project work is carried out in cooperation with the European Investment Bank based on a Europe-wide company data set.
