Abstract

The project seeks to evaluate the returns to education in a STEM field as well as their heterogeneity. Furthermore, the project seeks to investigate how heterogeneous the costs of a STEM education are and how important heterogeneity of costs is compared with heterogeneity of returns. Special attention is paid also to gender differences. Policy conclusions differ depending on whether heterogeneity of returns or costs dominates.
