Abstract

The topic of working time in the course of life gains importance for individuals, establishments, social partners and politics. However, important information for designing effective working time policies is lacking. In contrast to previous cross sectional analyses this project takes a longitudinal perspective on individual biographies. Thereby, we investigate how agreed, effective and desired working hours change in the course of life and when working time discrepancies arise.
