Abstract

The transfer of knowledge is of great importance for individuals. Labor market mobility ( 'the mobility ) of individuals identified in the literature on organizations (besides strategic alliances and mergers ) as one of the essential mechanisms for transferring knowledge .  As a special group of "knowledge workers ", the Project will study inventor mobility since detailed  on the productivity of these individuals data are available. Under the proposed Project  important questions about the relationship between mobility and productivity for Inventors as well as the underlying mechanisms will be answered.
