Abstract

A preliminary evaluation of German employment statistics shows that those members of the nursing profession who have (degree level) academic training are mostly working in semi-skilled positions. For some time, those graduates who have trained at specialist universities have largely been unable to find jobs in nursing which correspond to their level of education. In this exploratory study, we attempt to identify the factors which have limited the availability of these jobs in different institutions
