Abstract

Detailed information on the qualification-specific demand for labour constitute an important benchmark for the placement activities of the German Agency for Labour. To provide such information we develop forecasting models at the occupational and regional level. Regional dependencies are accounted for to improve the precision of the forecasts. Furthermore we check whether precision of the forecasts can be improved by aggregation over occupations or regions
