Business Cycle Volatilities on the Labor Market
Project duration: 01.01.2009 to 30.06.2015
Abstract
We analyse empirically the volatility of the German labor market at the business cycle frequency, specifically, the volatility of the job-finding rate, the labor market tightness and the vacancies referred to the volatility of labor productivity. We derive and simulate a simple macroeconomic model to explain the observed reaction of labor market variables on productivity shocks.
