Abstract

Based on the data of the IAB Establishment Panel Survey the employment development is investigated with respect to economic sector, firm size and region. Relevant determinants are turnover, profitibility, Investment activity and wages as well as technological and organisational changes. Furthermore, the employment development for fixed-term and temorary employees and other vulnerable groups is analysed.
