Abstract

In April and May 2025, data is being collected as part of IAB-OPAL on key labor market policy proposals from the 2025 coalition agreement between the CDU/CSU and SPD. In addition, participants were asked about their ideas of fairness and their attitudes towards social policy. The project investigates how employees evaluate a flexibilization of working hours, whether full-time employees are willing to work more overtime with an overtime bonus, and whether part-time employees are willing to permanently increase their weekly working hours in exchange for a one-time bonus. These specific policy proposals are analyzed in the context of abstract ideas of justice and attitudes towards social policy.
