Abstract

AI and other automation and digitisation technologies increasingly perform tasks that could previously only be done by humans. This development has triggered scientific and public debates on the future of work. Due to lack of data, it is still unclear how automation, digitisation and networking affect the labor market and challenges the future of work. This project investigates the causal impact of the digitization on wages and employment biographies of workers in Germany.
